      <image:title>Bio - Curiosity. Rigor. Creativity.</image:title>
<image:caption>I’m a mixed-methods researcher, humanities practitioner, and strategist with more than 15 years of experience designing and leading research and creative initiatives in cultural institutions, social impact spaces, academia, and industry. I help organizations understand people within the context of their lives. I use interviews, surveys, focus groups, ethnography, field studies, archival methods, and other qualitative and quantitative approaches to uncover patterns, perspectives, and opportunities. I then translate what I learn into strategic recommendations, institutional priorities, and compelling stories. Currently, I’m a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer in the Department of Anthropology at Columbia University, and I serve on the interpretation team for VZBLYF Curatorial Studio, where I collaborate with museum leaders, designers, historians, and descendants to develop research-driven experiences for audiences. I earned my PhD in Anthropology from the University of Chicago, where my research examined contemporary Black funeral practices in the United States. I’m currently developing that research into a book. Previously, I earned a bachelor’s from Howard University and a master’s from NYU, and I am a returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Zambia. My work is driven by my curiosity, rigor, and creativity. I believe in asking better questions, gaining deeper understanding, and making thoughtful decisions across projects and sectors.</image:caption>
